Workshops

Framework For Applying Structured Teaching Across the School Day

To Be Announced: This annual three-day workshop is an intensive, hands-on training for teams using principles of structured teaching as a framework for their programming for students with autism spectrum disorders. Participant teams will focus on one target student and will use our proprietary software (Structure Planning Tool v. 3.0) and will leave with with specific tools, action plans and recommendations for IEP goals and accommodations that reflect the importance of designing and using systematic structures as a foundation for autism programming. Participants take home the software for use with other students.

Who Should Attend

Teams of 2-4 members working with one target student, must include a case manager (e.g. special educator)

  • Special Educators
  • Related Service Personnel (e.g. occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists)
  • Paraprofessionals
  • Parents
  • Administrators
  • At least one person must be familiar with the student.



Consultation

Consultation Services

Members of Practical Autism Resources are available for on-site consultation in Vermont. Limited Skype consultation may also be available by request worldwide (English and Spanish).
