This workshop is an intensive, hands-on intermediate training for teams using principles of structured teaching as a framework for their programming for students with autism spectrum disorders. Participant teams will focus on one target student while completing a framework planning tools and planning binder, determining appropriate structure across learning settings, designing an array of learning tasks, as well as planning for efficient data collection and analysis.

Participants will leave with a binder specific to their student with autism, that includes planning forms and designs for structured teaching elements including schedules, visual structure, physical structure, work systems, task design, accommodations across the school day and more.

Open to teams of 2-4 individuals with at least one student on the autism spectrum*. Must have a special educator on the team, but team members may include parents, supplemental service providers, paraprofessionals, members of outside support agencies- anyone on the child's team.
*Teams wishing to apply structured teaching tools to the programs of students not on the spectrum may apply.
